III Points, Wynwood’s own music, art, and tech festival, returns for its fourth year on Oct 7-9, with a diverse lineup and extra-musical offerings. This year features a total of six stages (with main stage production managed by William Kennedy, production manager of Secret Garden). The festival is also hosting the debut of the Mars 2030 NASA VR. Here is a preview of what we are looking forward to the most:

The highly anticipated Mars 2030 VR experience will be debuted as well, allowing Earth-bound astronauts to explore the red planet immersively. The simulation is produced by Fusion (the media company owned by Disney and Univision) in partnership with NVIDIA Geforce, along with NASA and MIT, and built with detailed topographically accurate landscapes on Unreal engine with data given to the developers by NASA. The experience will eventually be available on HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR, and Google Cardboard.

For those with tech curiosities, the activation highlights include the 01 Virtual Reality Lounge including VR Talk with Mars 2030 NASA, Moonlighter Experimental Instruments (play with littleBits modular synth kits), Moonlighter Makerspace open house, coding/tech panels, and more. Also, the Art By God Recharge Lounge, I’m not sure what they have in store but if you’ve never been there it’s a super cool place full of dinosaur fossils and other rarities, and even human skulls.
Official afterparties include LCD Soundsystem at Soho Beach House, Ceremony + Robert Hood (Link Miami Rebels) at Bardot, and more.
