With Burning Man 2014 looming on the dusty horizon only a week away, here are some of the top recorded sets revisited.
Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream sunset sets are already regarded as special, but his sunrise set on the Robot Heart bus deep in the deep playa was an magical experience. This awesome 4-hour set travels through gems by Mano le Tough, Mario Basanov, Chaim, Hot Since 82, Maher Daniel and John Charnis, Henry Saiz, Ian Pooley, et al.
Bob Moses’s live set on the Robot Heart bus is nothing short of perfection. Comprised entirely of their own productions, the Canadian duo’s amazing set creates a hypnotic vibe, with the tempo of their tracks slightly sped up more dancibly from their normal pace and extra live bits added in. “All I Want,” “Too Close for Comfort,” “Far from the Tree,” and “Worked,” are some of the tracks that can be heard in this lovely one-hour set.
Another outstanding deep moment in the deep playa was orchestrated by DJ Tennis, with his Robot Heart set containing treasures by Tale of Us, Mind Against, Chaim, Mano le Tough, Ten Walls, Guy Gerber, Agoria, Martin Buttrich, and others.
Coming from White Ocean, a more proggy set by Hernan Cattaneo embraced the spirit of the desert with flowing rhythms by Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Henry Saiz, Dixon, and more.
These are just a few of the many fantastic sets from sound camps like Robot Heart, White Ocean, Pink Mammoth, Mayan Warrior, and others. We look forward to sharing what Burning Man 2014 has to bring!
